The social cafe “DAR YAK ZAMIN” is the first inclusive training café , opened with the support of Global Giving, the Tajik Diaspora in Toronto, the ALIGN Foundation, where young people with autism and other mental features have the opportunity not only to learn professional skills in cafe and kitchen, but also job opportunities.
This initiative was born from the program of the club for the development and employment of adolescents with ASD and the introduction of a model of social entrepreneurship in the public association “IRODA”. Thanks to the cafe, 7 young people with mental disabilities got the opportunity to work, and all the income-generating activities of the cafe in 2019 were aimed at providing a new organization program – the training apartment for independent living “FreeDOM”.
Since 2018, café have been developing inclusive catering services, thus ensuring not only the expansion of the café’s activities, but also an even greater awareness of the community about the opportunities and potential of people with autism and mental disabilities, with active employment and social adaptation and inclusion.
The key goal of the cafe is to ensure the professional employment of youth with ASD and NNR through the promotion of the organization’s social entrepreneurship.
